Three Things Every Car Owner/Driver Should Know How to Do it.

The owner’s manual of any car will tell you in a  simplistic manner and step-by-step possibly how to operate everything from the seatbelts to the trunk lock and how to finely tune the rear headrests etc.

Basic things you must have to know if you are a owner of car or driving a car.

1. How to change a Tire.

If a tire blows, don’t try to save it or its wheel by stopping immediately in a clumsy situation.
a. Find a safe spot to pull over.
b.Turn on your hazard lights
c.Use the wrench to loosen the lug nuts
d.Use the jack to lift the vehicle off the ground.
e.Remove the lug nuts and pull the tire off the car.
f.Place the spare on the car.
g.Put on the lug nuts
h.Lower the car back to the ground.
i.Make sure the lug nuts are tightened
j.Put your flat tire and tools back in your trunk

2. How to jump-start a car using jump leads

One temporary way around a dead battery is by using jump leads or a power pack. However, follow the instructions very carefully and check your vehicle handbook before going ahead.

Park both cars in neutral next to each other so that they’re close but not touching. Open the bonnet; the jump lead should be able to reach both vehicles.
Connect the first end of the RED positive lead to the positive terminal on the working battery. Do the same for the other end of the lead for the flat battery.
Connect the BLACK negative lead to the negative terminal on the working battery. Attach the other end to a metal (earthing) point, such as a bolt or bracket, away from the dead battery. Some cars have negative jump-starting poles – check your handbook to see if yours does.
Check the leads are away from moving parts then start the engine of the working car.
After about a minute, try starting the car with the dead battery. If it doesn’t work, leave it a little longer, but switch off the engine if the leads get hot.
Once you have your car running, leave the engine on for a couple of minutes to charge the battery.
Remove the jump leads in reverse to the way you attached them. Make sure they don’t touch together or any metal surfaces. You should then drive for at least 30 minutes or leave the engine running.

3.How to Check Your Oil.

a.With the engine off, open the car’s hood and find the dipstick.
b. Pull the dipstick out from the engine and wipe any oil off from its end.
c.Then insert the dipstick back into its tube and push it all the way back in.
d.Pull it back out, and this time look at both sides of the dipstick to see where the oil is on the end.
e.Check the level marked in dip stick to insure oil is sufficient there.
